HillsBorough Park and MeadowHall Mall

Since Christmas holidays, we couldn't explore much - thanks to my daughter's school plans! However, this also let us know more on City center. The moor market and poundland are my new favorite where you can buy your groceries and also do a bit window shopping at near by Primark or Atkinsons or Debenhams! Provided my son allows!!!. Condition apply***

Last weekend, we were thrown back to know that school is closing for a week for Spring half term! And planning for holidays here needs to be done well in advance here, unlike India where you always get a way out for even 2 day weekend! We let go the weekdays and caught Saturday for our outing! It was a perfect day and the weather report gave a thumbs up for being sunny! Thanks to Facebook weather report alarm!

We chose to give a visit to Hillsborough park first. It covers more land area with lush green lawns and well pathways. A stream filled with birds and children's play area made my kids's day! It also had good connectivity from the city center which lets you top your list for the day. What more you can ask for than - a long walk with your loved ones on a shiny day.

My hubby dear insisted to a tram line for our next - Meadowhall. Reasons - it would be our first ever ride in tram and second - again - it had a good connectivity. (Middlewood to Meadowhall). Unfortunately, a match at a near by stadium just got over and all the commute stops were crowded, making us to skip two tram service. We wisely took a decision to go back to the origin and a board a new one to grab a good seat!. Wonder how crazy you go when you have kids!!!!

Meadow hall is a huge mall and no different than the ones you find in Bangalore. All top brand shops have their presence here, except i guess, as movie theatre. We spend some time there just gawking at others!! My fav!!! :D. We commuted again in tram back to city center and had a brisk walk to our home at 9:30PM.
The day's event drained all our energy and we all soon found comforts on our bed until very late next day morning!

I wish to visit Hillsborough park once again to admire the beauty of tress when they get their beautiful colored leaves back.

My new found crush!

I know. I haven't been fair with this blog as I disappeared for more than a month now. What kept me away from it? Was I really busy with other work!!!?

Its a common gesture in world to blame the god damn time for anything and everything that goes in an unplanned way! But surely, its not the culprit. Its our management skills and priority plan!!! In 24hrs a day, we ought to do many things and we plan well and priortize for a happy ending. If this mantra gets disturbed, there you are treated with a "BAD DAY!. And if you are chanting that mantra for more days, you will land in the first sentence of this blog. Same Pinch!!!

Honestly, I found two new distractions which altered by system! One, my new flatmate- Pavitra. The very fact that her daughter and mine study in the same school and are in same class was the first bonding connection between us. I will leave to the reader's imagination, when I say, we also have 2yr old second kid to understand the thickening of our bond!!!!Since, I was stepping into a new shoe - of full time - homeworker, Pavitra was obvious and perfect friend. Be it sharing new recipes and savories or veggies shopping twice a week or just wandering together near the City center!!!

The second reason for my fading is my new found hobby - Crochet!!!!Having interest in crafts, crochet was my long time wish-to-learn thing. I had tried once making a phone pouch back in Bangalore, but couldn't find time!!!! :D.So here am, browsing a new store that my husband took me once, where I saw a whole world of Knitting and Crochet tools! My mad angle soon bounced at 90 degree and laid my hands on it - wait - not on the yarn, but on you tube channel ---:D to learn more!!!!

These hobby crafts are really addictive and compel you to engross in itself. They offer new fascinating stuff that lure you to learn and try. I first started with a tea coaster, then a table mat and recently finished two mittens for my kids. When there is a success, failure needs to be obvious!!!!I tried a hat for my Diya and due to bad measurement and even more bad timing of realizing it, a week's work went waste! This reminded me of work days at Thomson Reuters!!!! Oh!!I miss u TR!!!!

I am currently on a new project and will probably reveal in another blog once done with photos!

So now shall you agree on my absence!!!?
